Cataracts
Cataracts impair the vision of many elderly people and some younger ones. These are opaque spots which form on the lens. Why put off going to the doctor if you suspect you have cataracts? They can be removed surgically at any time and practically at any age. It isn't necessary to wait for the cataract to become complete, or "ripe," as was
believed in the past. Depending on the condition of the lens, the retina, and other considerations, some cataracts can be treated successfully without surgery.
