Note for Men I . Following thumb rules may also be applied to get the approximate ideal weight for a certain height,

i) Multiply height (in cms.) by the factor 0.38 to get the approx ideal weight (for men) in kg. For higher heights increase this factor slightly.

ii) Take 59 kg. for height of 160 cms, Add 0.75 kg for every additional height of one cm, subtract 0.6 kg for every I cm less height.

The above table gives the weight range for medium frame persons.

3.Growth of the body is normally upto 25 years of age. After 25 years, the weight of the body should ideally remain constant.

Note (for Women) :

As a thumb rule, it may also be applied to get the approximate ideal weight for a certain height.

a) Multiply height (incms.) by the factor 0.35 to get the weight in kg. At higher heights increase this factor slightly.

b) Take 56 kg. for a height of 160 cms Add 0.75 kg for every additional height of one cm and subtract 0.6 kg for every I cm less height.

2. The above table gives the height weight ratio for medium frame bodies.
